Dog Days of Summer

These really hot days of summer did not lend themselves to being productive. Seems like this time of year was meant to have a cold drink in one hand and a fan in the other. Traveling this summer to Italy I discovered Palermo, Sicily.  The loud, the gritty the awesome architecture, art and lifestyle were amazing.   I tried to capture that energy in this painting.  The next one is Wind River Fly Fishing. Growing up in Thermopolis my dad was often there and something so magical watching the fishing line do dances across the water.
